The Reservoir Engineer analyzes technical data for evaluating drilling programs, budgetary and financial planning and reserve reporting. Coordinates and disseminates information to and from development teams, operations, planning and corporate.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Perform economic evaluations of all potential development and exploration projects
2. Use reservoir modeling to evaluate performance and determine potential for major development projects such as waterflood or infill drilling
3. Analyze well performance; test rates and operating data, fluid and formation samples, pressure data and production logs
4. Design, prepare and execute data collection programs
5. Assist production staff to optimize producing rates and cash flow
6. Providing technical and economic analysis
7. Maximize the economic recovery of hydrocarbons
8. Support the development and operation of assets
9. Responsible for oil / gas production for assigned wells
Job Experience And Requirements:
1. Experience with ARIES software or similar program preferred
2. At least five years related reservoir engineering experience
3. Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or a closely related engineering field
4. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
5. Ability to work in a team environment and react quickly to changing priorities
6. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
7. Strong economic analysis skills
